Orthodontic insurance is usually provided as an added benefit to private dental insurance. Plans can vary considerably with different carriers. During the complimentary initial consultation, our East Aurora orthodontists will provide you with an understanding of your benefit help to explain the nuances of your plan. It is important to understand your benefits before any treatment begins.
However, the first visit to our office is complimentary and will not result in any charges. Therefore, an insurance claim is not necessary. Although we will request insurance information prior to the first visit, it is only so our staff can help determine the available coverage to inform you of your benefits. While insurance may seem difficult to understand, the benefits can help reduce the financial burden.
During your free initial consultation, our East Aurora orthodontists will carefully examine your teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems. Once the doctor has a clear picture, we will discuss what type of treatment is necessary, how long it will take, and estimate how much it will cost. We will ensure you understand all the details before you decide to proceed with treatment.
Should you decide to proceed with treatment, we will begin by making records to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, study models of the teeth, photos of the patient’s face and teeth and X-rays. Unique to our records, we offer several forms of diagnostic testing that few other practices in Western New York support including CBCT digital imaging, rhinomanometry, take home sleep tests, and clinical data sheet frontal analysis.
Following the clinical examination, our East Aurora orthodontists will use the information we gather to develop a customized treatment plan. This comprehensive plan will address the individual needs of each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
