He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association, the Eighth District Dental Society, the Erie County Dental Association, the International Association of Orofacial Myology, the Fonzi Dental Study Club, and is Northeastern Society of Orthodontics Board Eligible.

He is the Vice-President of Volumetric Cranio-Facial Imaging Center, LLC and President of Col-Dent Orthodontic Lab, Inc. Dr. Colarusso is also a Board Member of the Olean General Hospital Foundation, and Past-President of the Cattaraugus County Dental Society.

Dr. Colarusso, along with his partner, Dr. Hietanen, has presented a number of seminars on orthodontic treatment, including: Early Orthodontic Treatment – What? When? Why? – 2008; Early Treatment Orthodontics – Why? – 2007; NewTom Scan Technology in Orthodontic and Dental Treatments - 2004, 2005; Functional Considerations to Orthodontics – 2004; Representatives of Zerobase - Toronto, 2001; Chicago, 2000; San Diego, 1999; and A Zerobase Orthodontic Office – 2000.

Orthodontists Associates of WNY was the first private practice in the United States to install and utilize CBCT technology. Dr. Colarusso is well versed in its use in diagnosis for orthodontic treatment. He was one of the original importers of the NewTom 3g scanner, a cone beam computed tomography technology, utilized in all areas of dentistry, providing reduced radiation exposure and improved diagnostic data for diagnosis.

He also utilizes Rhinomanometry and s-EMG as standard protocols in diagnosis. Dr. Colarusso incorporates and implements its diagnostic results into patient treatment.

A member of St. Mary’s of the Angels RC Church, Olean, NY, and Past-Chairman of its annual church festival, Dr. Colarusso is also a member and Past-President of the Olean Exchange Club.

A member of Ss. Peter and Paul RC Church in Hamburg, NY, Dr. Hietanen has been heavily involved in the Ss. Peter and Paul Home School Association and Bishop Timon-St. Jude Alumni Association as Past-President, Vice-Chairman and Member of the Board of Trustees. He was the co-founder of the Ss. Peter and Paul Hockey Teams, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Cazenovia Park Hockey Association.

Dr. Dusel completed his orthodontic training at Montefiore Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City in the spring of 2010. He received his certificate in Orthodontics after a very clinical-based 3-year program. Dr. Dusel received the department award for excellence in teaching of medical students during his 3-year residency program.

He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association, the Eighth District Dental Society and the Erie County Dental Association. Dr. Dusel is American Board of Orthodontics Board Eligible, and plans on completing his Board Certification in Orthodontics in Dallas, TX in February of 2011.

Dr. Dusel is very familiar with Orthodontists Associates of Western New York as he was an assistant and lab technician for a year prior to entering dental school. He has spent a good deal of time in the office during his dental and orthodontic training so that his transition into the office was seamless. Like Dr, Hietanen and Dr. Colarusso, Dr. Dusel has experience treating a wide range of patients, with the focus on early treatment orthodontics. He has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults and has treated complex craniofacial patients and cleft palate patients with the Craniofacial Team at Montefiore Medical Center. He is well trained in surgical orthodontics and is Invisalign® Certified.

Dr. Dusel is a parishioner at St. Louis Church in Buffalo, NY, and is involved with his church community. He also enjoys playing in the BDSL Soccer League, golf, platform tennis, waterskiing at Rushford Lake, and snow skiing at Holimont in Ellicottville.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Helen, who is a general dentist in the area. They enjoy cooking, camping and running in the area.
