Adult Orthodontic Treatment
Adults seek orthodontic treatment for a number of different reasons. Perhaps as children there was no orthodontic treatment provided and problems went untreated. Other times, adults have had orthodontic treatment and have had mild to moderate change since their braces were removed. Sometimes, an orthodontist moves a patient's teeth into a better position prior to having dental implants, crowns or bridges placed by their restorative dentist.
At Orthodontists Associates, we have treated patients from 3-83 years old. It is never too late to seek orthodontic treatment, and we offer many different approaches to adult treatment. We offer clear (tooth colored) braces for the upper front teeth to minimize the noticeability of braces. We also offer Invisalign® as an option to our patients who qualify for this type of treatment. Invisalign® can be a great option for certain individuals with less complex treatment needs, however, not everyone is a candidate. At your consultation appointment, the doctor should be able to let you know if you are a good Invisalign® candidate or whether traditional braces may be a better option.
